Police Seek Garden City Bank's Robber
Police are seeking the above man for allegedly robbing a Franklin Avenue bank.
The Astoria Federal Bank located at 1150 Franklin Ave. was robbed on Monday, January 5 at 2:00 P.M. according to the Nassau County Police Department Robbery Squad. According to detectives, a male subject, seen above, entered the and passed a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, the subject fled out the rear door of the bank heading northwest in the Lord & Taylor parking lot, Field #12. He was described as male, black, 27-30 yrs., 5'11", wearing a blue NY Yankees baseball cap, dark North Face jacket, and dark sunglasses
This subject matches the description of an individual who has committed a total of eight bank robberies since late October.
No injuries were reported. There were nine employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
