On Sunday, February 8th, Gold's Gym of Garden City Park will host Spin for Hope, sponsored by the Garden City Unit of the American Cancer Society. Spinning is great exercise: it involves riding a stationary bike, constantly adjusting the tension to simulate coasting, sprinting and hill climbing. The Gold's Gym trainers put each class to music, motivating us to keep on pedaling! Spin for Hope begins at 8 AM and runs until 12 PM. Each participant will spin for one 45 minute session.

You can register as an individual or as a team on the Team ACS website: http://teamacs.acsevents.org. Click on "personal fundraisers", then "join a team" (team name is ACS Garden City). Next, click on "join our team" or "donate", and follow the prompts. There is a $25 registration fee.

All 7th and 8th graders seeking community service hours are welcome, either to participate in the class or assist as ACS volunteers.
