The Garden City Ski Club will hold a meeting on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 1000 Marcus Avenue, New Hyde Park. GCAA now has over 1,087 kids in their basketball program, including 809 kids playing GCAA intramurals in St. Paul's on Saturdays. The Garden Department of The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead is not a group to rest on its laurels. They will follow up their Greens Day held early in December when they made sprays and arrangements to decorate the Veteran's Memorials, 9/11 Memorial, Firemen's Memorial, and arrangements for both the Garden City Library and the Hempstead Library as well as our own Village Hall, More ... As we break for the holidays many of our travel basketball teams are near the top of their respective divisions in the highly competitve Island Garden Super League. Here's just some of the latest highlights: PRENDERGAST 5TH BOYS won 2 games this week to improve their record to 4-1. The team used a full court press to force many turnovers and score some easy hoops... More ... Our fall session of yoga will begin the week of January 12th. Connie McKnight, our certified yoga instructor, has designed classes with all ages in mind. Each class is 55 minutes long. All classes are held in Cluett Hall at St. Paul's. Any resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City is invited to join these relaxing classes. More ...
