Dear 2009, Welcome to the world. We hope you have a great year here. Garden City is a wonderful town, in spite of a few "issues" it has had recently. Just to bring you up to speed on what's going on, here's a summary of what's been going on during your predecessor's term of office. The issue most discussed was what to do with a lovely historic building in town. More ... Remembering Bill Haynes To The Editor: Bill Haynes, my colleague on the Garden City Board of Appeals for more than 15 years, passed away last week. Bill & I were appointed to the Zoning Board at the same time. I can't recall an evening that Bill missed during that period of time except for the last few when his health kept him from attending our hearings. More ... |
