AAUW looks forward to January 5th when Monday's Marvelous Matinees will present Anthony Adverse at 1:30 pm in the Garden City Library. This blockbuster film based on the 1933 blockbuster novel by Hervey Allen stars Fredric March and Olivia de Haviland and has a stellar cast of familiar faces. The film earned three Oscars for Best Editing, Best Musical Score and Best Cinematography. The story follows a young man achieving maturity as he has adventures in various parts of early 19th century Europe, Cuba and Africa.

All are invited to stay for a brief discussion of the film following the showing.
