Warriors Advance To 3rd Round Of State Cup

The GC Warriors with Coaches Jim Fisher and John Koester (and mascot Jackie Morris) celebrate their 3-0 victory over the Albertson Strikers to advance to the 3rd round of the NY State Cup.

On Sunday, September 28, the GC Warriors Boys U12 soccer team advanced to the third round of the NY State Cup with a decisive win over the Albertson Strikers. The Warriors 3-0 victory was the result of a tremendous team effort. Goalies Owen Fisher and Gerard Smith combined for the shutout with strong defensive help from the usual suspects: Matt Greiner, James Walsh, Jonathan Granville, and Brogan Mahon- the field general. Sharp passing and precise shooting resulted in two goals for Alex Franco and one for Conor Tariche, who led the day's offensive assault with support from Timmy Foxen, Kyle Bratton, Matt Flynn, Chris Koester, Bobby Clark and Jonathan Morris. The Warriors next Cup game is scheduled for October 19. Congratulations boys, keep up the good work!
