AAUW's Membership Tea in September was a successful opener for its many interesting and appealing activities planned for its 70th Anniversary year. Many were welcomed, including their honored guest, Jane Smith, by the AAUW's Garden City Board Members. For the '08/09 year, members will be participating in a wide range of social, and educational activities with deference to AAUW's mission of advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
