Girls Varsity Lacrosse Wins State Title

Garden City's girls varsity lacrosse team won their third straight Class B NY State lacrosse title, 12-10, in overtime over Section V's Brighton Saturday June 14th at SUNY-Cortland. Before the team left for Cortland to play in the state championship, they defeated Rocky Point for the LI title on Sunday June 8th at Stony Brook where this photo was taken. This year's team was coached by Diane Chapman, and assistant coaches Gina Sambus and Dane Solomon.
