A gala Book and Author Luncheon was held at the Swan Club on May 2nd by the Garden City branch of the American Association of University Women. The attendees were delighted by the poetry of Susan Astor, author of "Spider Lies," and by the anecdotes of Judith Caseley, author of "Molly Pink." Vivian Farrell, who wrote "Robert's Tall Friend: A Story of the Fire Island LIghthouse," gave an excellent dramatic reading.
Proceeds from the event, chaired by Alice Cammiso and Jane Cox, will support AAUW's Education Foundation and the Legal Advocacy Fund, both dedicated to the advancement of women's causes.
