Mercy League Luncheon A Success

The Garden City Mercy League held its annual St. Patrick's Day Luncheon in March and it was a huge success. The luncheon was chaired again this year by Erin Nothel and Jane O'Keeffe. The event was held at the Cherry Valley Club.

The afternoon began with boutique shopping followed by a delicious lunch. As each Mercy member sat at her assigned seat, she was greeted with a big white box with a bright green bow. Inside the box was a festive, fun St. patrick's Day bracelet that each guest received a a party favor.

The ladies had over 50 chinese auction prizes to win. If the luck o' the Irish was with you that day, you walked away a winner. The grand prize was a trip to Maho Beach Resort and Spa, which was won by past president Tara Walsh. Good things come to those who volunteer!

The Garden City Mercy Board thanked everyone who volunteers their time for these festive fund-raisers. They are always looking for new volunteers. If interested, please contact Andrea Bharucha, at 565-0587. It is a great way to help the community, raise money for an important cause and make new friends.
