In Memoriam Dorothy DiGirolamo

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Friday - April 25 th. She is survived by her loving daughters: Rose (George) Ollendike, Michele Byrne, Marie (Vic) Jaworski. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Kevin (Jennifer) Byrne, Keith (Johanna) Byrne, Tara (Aaron) Renner, Chris (Deirdre) Ollendike, Dave (Kristen) Ollendike, Melissa Ollendike, Scot (Leyla) Jaworski, Mark (Jennifer) Jaworski, Nicholas Jaworski. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a resident of Garden City and an active member of St. Joseph's Church for sixty years.

In her mid forties Dorothy returned to the workforce. She became the first woman Credit Manager for Esselte Pendaflex and held the position until her retirement. Also very active on various business boards.

When not working she volunteered her time to Mercy League of Garden City and St. Joseph's Rosary Altar Society.

She loved to play bridge, golf and enjoyed travel.

Dorothy was an elegant, loving woman who will be missed.

Funeral services were arranged by Fairchild & Sons. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated by Father Joseph Schlafer on Friday May 2, 2008.
