Forum On German Church

Rev. James Adelmann

This Sunday, May 11 at 9:15 a.m., the Rev. James Adelmann will address the Adult Forum at the Garden City Community Church. The Rev. Adelmann joined the GCCC in 1980 as Youth Minister, later Minister for Evangelism and in 1991 he was called to be the Senior Pastor. He is a graduate of Yale Divinity school. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Counseling Center and is an active member of the Garden City Clergy and the community.

The Rev. Adelmann has recently returned from Germany as part of a delegation of the New York Conference of the United Church of Christ. An Ecumenical relationship was established in 2007 between the two churches and a document was signed as a formal covenant between the UCC New York Conference and the Deaneries of Wiesbaden and Frankfurt, EKHN. The Rev. Adelmann will share more about his trip on Sunday.

The Community is invited to attend the forum in the church parlor. Garden City Community Church is a member of the United Church of Christ, and is an Open & Affirming and Welcoming Congregation. Worship Services are on Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with church school for children and crib room for infants and toddlers at the later service.
