Estates POA To Hold Annual Meeting

The Property Owners Association of Gar-den City Estates, Inc. is holding its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in the Stratford School Auditorium. At this meeting, the nominating committee will present their 5 candidates for the election of Directors of the Association.

Manny Velez, the Association's President and Brian Daughney, the Chairman of the Association's Nominating Committee along with the entire board of directors, encourage all dues paid mem-bers to attend the meeting. Any other Estates resident that would like to join the POA may pay dues at the meeting (the annual dues amount for the 2007/2008 fiscal year is $10.00).

In accordance with the Association's By-Laws, the election is for 5 persons to serve as directors of the 15 member Board for a three year term to expire in 2011. The Nominating Committee has nominated the following Estates POA members:

All nominees above are currently serving as Directors, except for Vincent Fusco.

After the election portion of the meeting, the guest speakers will be representatives of the school administration and a Village School Board Trustee. They will present and discuss the recently approved School Budget. The village-wide school budget vote is on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 7AM - 10PM at the High School.

All the members, directors and officers of the Estates POA invite any persons residing in the Estates section to be-come members and attend this and other POA meetings. After this annual May 14th meeting, the next meeting will be held on June 11, 2008 at 8PM, also in Stratford Auditorium.
