Rams 5th Grade Maroon Team Beats Northport

The Garden City Maroon 5th Grade boys lacrosse team beat Northport 7-4 on a very cold and raw Sunday afternoon. The Maroon team set the tone early based on the play of midfielders Evan Nagel, Brian Colamussi, Tim Dolan, Jack Tigh, Thomas Wright, Brogan Mahon, Pat Gibbons, Will Glenn and Kyle Bratton. Garden City started out with 3 quick goals but found themselves tied 3-3 at the half. The attack put on a show of ball control in the 2nd half as Kieran McGoldrick, Chris Moscatiello, Ryan McCartney, Nick Mourikis, Brian Shannon and Brian Regan work the ball around and put the game out of reach for Northport. The defense led by Carson Bauer, Brendan Digan, Tim Butler, Peter Kelly and Thomas Mulligan were able to support the outstanding play of goalie Connor Brown.

The Maroon Team looks forward to the return of Michael Crapotta this week as the Rams take on North Shore. Ground Balls win games, Go Rams!!
