Great Ball Pursuit by the White Sweeties

GC White Sweeties played a well rounded game in defeating Syosset 13-6. GC opened up to a quick 5-0 lead and the coasted the rest of the way leading at halftime 8-3 and never leading by less than 4 goals the rest of the way despite being undermanned on the bench. Alex Riceman, Daniella Joyce, Jamie Sweet, Kelly Tierney, and Erin Pfail played excellent two way midfield. Halle Watkus and Sage Fuller anchored a steady defense with Evan Molitor making some fine saves in goal in the second half. Amanda Kelly, Sarah Rubino, Kristen Rasquin, and Meaghan Mulhall kept the relentless attack going on in the offensive zone. The team featured a balanced offense where nine different players picked up points with seven different players picking up assists and six different players with goals.

Several fine upfield runs were made by Sara Rubino, Sage Fuller and Alex Riceman. Great ball scooping and ball possession plays were made by Kelly Tierney, Daniella Joyce, Erin Pfail, and Jamie Sweet. While several great offensive moves were made by Amanda Kelly, Kristen Rasquin, and Meaghan Mulhall helped put the game away. Their next game is Sunday, April 6th versus an old nemesis Farmingdale at 2:30 PM at GC High School Turf Field - come on down and see them.
