Garden City Retired Men's Club Calendar Of Events The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City Community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political. All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City, in the State of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a five (5) dollar initiation fee. If you are eligible and interested to join us, please come by. Every Monday is Open House. Or call Joe Leto 248-9022. The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers 23 regulation size pool tables, Television, Card/Table Board Games as well as outdoor Bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. April 710:30 am Exercise Class ----- Retired Men's Club Lunch Program Join us for our next super pizza party, Thursday, March 27, at 1:30 pm (56.00+ $2.00 for lucky bucks). Drinks are on the house. This is a great way to enjoy lunch and spend a pleasant afternoon with fellow retiree. Atlantic City Trip April 28 Monday March 31 Atlantic City trip is all SOLD OUT. Call Ed Palkot at 437-0897 to reserve your spot for the Monday, April 28th trip. It's never too early to sign up. Non-member residents of Garden City are invited. ----- There will be some improvements to our Golf Club Lane facility. We await the delivery of new lockers. a little logistical exchange of the contents, a smattering of paint, a new floor and presto a new locker room will be created. It's a small beginning, but we are willing, to inch along. At our next meeting Wednesday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the Golf Club Lane Center we will continue to compile our wish list in preparation for our April 16 meeting with Village officials. ----- Exercise Program - All Set Joy Cody is back in stride. The third class of this session was held Monday March 24 and the beneficial results are starting to show. Our next class is Monday March 31. Join us and benefit from this self-improvement program. No formal registration, just show up at the Golf Club Lane center and start your exercise. Call Joe Leto at 248-9022 if you need further information. Non-member male Garden City residents are welcome. Join Ron Zwicke and his congenial friends for a fun afternoon of bowling. It's very interesting, teams are formed each bowling day, A different team each week. It's complicated, but Ron makes it simple. Just show up at Herrill Lanes and bowl away.
