Resurrection Celebrates Marriages
Eighteen couples celebrating their first year of marriage or an anniversary in increments of five were invited to the altar to renew their marriage vows and re-commit to their partnership of life. Love was palpable as husbands and wives celebrating six weeks to seventy years, recognized that marriage is a gift from God and gazed into each others eyes ready to re-commit themselves to each other before God and the church. It was a beautiful renewal ceremony that brought tears to many in the congregation who witness the couples repeating the promise they made on their wedding day, to be true to each other in good times and in bad-in sickness and in health; "...to love and honor you all the days of my life and take you again to myself as God's gift."
