Raising The Flag For India

Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray (center, back row), helped members of the Indian American Forum raise the Indian flag at Hempstead Town Hall in honor of India Republic Day. India Republic Day, which is celebrated on January 26th, commemorates the establishment of India as a Republic and its liberation from British rule.
