Club Members Enjoy Slide Show

Slide Show on Costa Rica's Rain Forest at Community Club.

On February 21st at the Garden City Casino, members of the Community Club, through slides and commentary, enjoyed tagging along with Professor Betsy Gulotta on one of her many trips to Costa Rica's rain forest. Professor Gulotta conducts a student trip to the rain forest as part of a course on International Studies at Nassau Community College.

Following the program, Rosemary McCarthy, chairman of the Americanism/Current Events Department of the Community Club, invited members and their guests to join her for refreshments.

Members of the hospitality committee Geraldine McHugh, Josephine Krawczyk, (who also created the intriguing decorations}, and Martha Widner. Marjorie Brown and Terry Ferraro greeted members at the door. Carol Countryman welcomed guests and Terry Ferraro and Anne Marie Smith poured coffee and tea. Amy Small handled publicity.
