All of our teams continue their high level of play in the very competitive Island Garden Super League. Here's the latest highlights: GRANVILLE 5TH BOYS have won their last two games with Jonathan Granville hitting a 3 pointer at the buzzer to secure a win over St. Rose while Jack Tigh and Colin DeAngelo provided the offensive firepower in a victory over HHH-Heller. The team is now positioned for a late season run in an effort to make the play-offs........Laurel Nothel and Cailee McCarthy continue to anchor the pressing defense for BASEL 5TH GIRLS.......With both teams leading the league with 9 wins, KELLY 6TH BOYS faced JCC in a battle for first place. The boys were off to a slow start and found themselves trailing midway through the first quarter. The Kelly boy's quickly came back and eventually captured the lead and never looked back. Luke Zeccola and Jay MacIntyre led all scorers with 12 points apiece, while Kieran Byrnes dropped in 8 points in their 42-17 victory.........KIFFEL 8th GIRLS are 10-3, good for 2nd place in the difficult 8th and 9th grade division............With an 8-5 record, KELLY 4TH GIRLS continue to have the most wins of any 4th grade team in the 4th and 5th grade division..........Led by Alexis Leighton and Annemarie Kane, RAPHAEL 5TH GIRLS are currently tied for third in their division.........At 13-2, CAPETOLA 4th BOYS have a two game lead on their nearest ri-val..........Logon to the Island Garden website, www.islandgarden.com, for complete schedules, results and standings.
