Winthrop Presents Free Lecture Winthrop-University Hospital's Health Update for Seniors community education series will present a free lecture, "Yes It's Treatable! Urinary Inconti-nence in Women," on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. The program begins with the lecture at 1:15 PM, followed by blood pressure checks at 2:45 PM. It will be held at the Mineola Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue in Mineola. Susan Davis, FNP, Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Urogynecology at Winthrop, will explain the different types of incontinence that women experience, as well as discuss overactive bladder issues. Ms. Davis will also provide an overview of diagnostic testing and treatment options during her lecture. A question and answer period will follow. "Women don't have to be embarrassed or suffer in silence. This is a common, treatable medical condition that is not inevitable with aging," she said.
