Local Kiwanians Attend Mid-Winter Conference

Garden City native Suzie Trenkle, President of the Kiwanis Club of Levittown and Arthur Anderson, President of the Kiwanis Club of Garden City.

The president and several past presidents of the Kiwanis Club of Garden City attended the New York District Kiwanis Mid-Winter Conference at the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa on February 22nd - 24th.

Founded in 1915 Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world. Over 600,000 Kiwanis-family members in 76 countries make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and working together to address worldwide issues.

Kiwanis also works with the youth in local communities through the Builders Club in the Middle School, Key Club in the High School and Circle K at local colleges. In these clubs, youth and young adults learn to become competent, capable and compassionate leaders.
