Garden City Basketball - Jr NBA Event!

On Wednesday January 30th, Garden City Basketball has the honor of having been selected to host one of twenty regional jrNBA/jrWNBA Skill Competitions. Children ages 7 to 14 years old are eligible. Participants in our program and Non-Participants may compete. You don't have to be a current participant in the Garden City Basketball program to attend this awesome NO FEE event. A schedule of ages and times will be posted on our website at www.gardencitybasketball.org and the event will be held at Stewart School starting at 7pm. Please email jskramko@optonline.net with your name, phone number, and age group to pre-register.

We are amazed that children are still registering for our intramural program. There is a lot of basketball left. There are about eight Saturday intramu-ral dates and at least two more weeknight clinics for each age group. Our focus of intramurals, fun, skill development, plenty of playing time, no ten-sion and no pressure has the kids smiling and having a great time.

The intramural season at St Paul's field house this Saturday, January 19th has the same schedule for the rest of the season:

* 1:30pm - 3:00pm Boys and Girls K-1st-2nd Clinic

* 3:00pm - 4:30pm Girls 3rd thru 7th grade

* 4:30pm - 5:30pm Boys 3rd/4th grade

* 5:30pm - 6:30pm Boys 5th/6th grade

On Thursday January 24th, we will have Boys 3rd thru 6th grade and Girls 3rd thru 7th grade Skills, Drills and Scrimmaging from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Paul's.

On Thursday January 31st, we will have a Kindergarten, 1st , and 2nd grade Special Event of Skills, Drills and Games from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Paul's.

Visit www.gardencitybasketball.org to sign-up online for the 2007-2008 season. Our registration fee is $50. There is NO LATE fee. Garden City Basketball will continue to accept late registrations and we will accommodate these participants.
