Girls Varsity Basketball Hosts Rockville Centre

The Garden City Trojans girls varsity basketball team played host to Rockville Centre's South Side Cyclones on Saturday afternoon January 12th. South Side's Tara Lonergan had a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds adding to the Cyclones 52-42 victory. Leading the scoring for Garden City was sophomore Diana Leondis with 15 points including three 3-pointers. Also scoring for the Trojans were Barbara Sullivan (10), Becky Lynch (8), Brittany Wilton (4), Amalia DeBrosse (3) and Dayna Defliese (2).

Garden City will host Levittown's Division High School tomorrow, January 19th at 11am. The JV team will play at 9:30am. You can see more photos from the game against South Side at www.Newsphoto.com
