Garden City Retired Men's Club Events Calendar The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political. All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City in the State of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a $5 initiation fee. Every Monday is Open House, or call Joe Leto at 248-9022. The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers two regulation size pool tables, television, card tables, board games, outdoor Bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. The Programs Committee is planning a very active speaker program. Come join us! We meet from noon to 5 p.m.

He will advise us on safety issues, particularly as they pertain to seniors. Detective Pedone as spokesman for the GC Police Dept. is well versed on matters concerning police safety. Non-member residents of Garden City are invited. get ready for the wearing of the green Our St. Patrick's Day party is planned for Wednesday March 12 th at the newly renovated Stewart Manor Country Club. We'll enjoy the usual hors d'oeuvres, cheese and veggie display, corned beef and cabbage (or salmon, if you prefer), dessert and coffee, plus open bar from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Price a mere $35.00. exercise program - still in limbo Joy cody is mending nicely. If everything remains on schedule she will be stretching and bending us once again starting March 10 th ... Until then Joy advises a little self-discipline and self exercise. A 1/2 hour session per day will keep you in shape until Joy is able to take over. Classes will run from Monday March 10 th to Monday May 12 th (10 sessions). Call Joe Leto at 248-9022 to sign up. Non-member male Garden City residents are welcome. For a great exercise substitute try our Friday afternoon bowling. This is a fun set-up. Teams are formed each bowling day, a different team each week. It's complicated, but Ron Zwicke keeps it interesting. Just show up and bowl away. Let's have some fun and exercise at the same time. Call Ron at 747-6842 for further details.
