The Spirit Of Christmas At St. Joseph's School

The 7th grade chorus
The week before Christmas break saw many examples of how the Christmas spirit is alive and well at St. Joseph's School. Every grade was involved in some aspect of the school's festivities. In addition to the Christmas Boutique, Christmas Sing at the GC Hotel and Santa's visit, the 1st and 3rd graders put on their Christmas Concert and Nativity production, the award-winning Band performed in their annual Christmas concert, the 7th grade presented the prayer service for the month and the 7th and 8th graders performed the Silver Star Nativity and Concert, complete with a solo by Kiera Liantonio that brought down the house. Each and every day, all of the children in the school were reminded to take a minute from the hustle and bustle of the busy season and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas...as the 3rd graders so keenly observed in their rendition of "We Wish Him a Happy Birthday"! Special thanks to the Music Directors, Mrs. Kelly and Sr. Marie, Band Director, Mr. Spiro, 1st and 3rd grade teachers, Miss. Dunn, Mrs. Kaden, Mrs. DeSena and Miss Beardsly, 7th and 8th grade teachers, Miss. Jaegers, Ms. Florio and Mrs. "I" and all the parents who helped in the wings! Dr. Kilbride and Mrs. Murphy, Principal and Assistant Principal did a wonderful job of bringing Christmas to the school. We invite you to join us on Sunday, January 27th from 11am - 1pm for an Open House during Curriculum Sunday. Let us present to you the benefits of our Catholic School....truly an advantage for life. We hope all of our friends, neighbors and supporters had the Merriest of Christmases and have a Happy New Year. Please visit our website at www.advantageforlife.org
