Prodigy Lacrosse, run by Major League Lacrosse All-Stars Tim Goettelmann and Nick Murtha have exclusively teamed with the Garden City Renegades Lacrosse Club to provide a series of Rene-gades/Prodigy clinics. The first clinic was held this past weekend at Turf Island Sports in Oceanside. All 5th and 6th grade team members were invited and most attended. Tim and Nick brought along defensive standout Adam Crystal from the Long Island Lizards and mid-fielder Jack Reuter, a junior at Chaminade High School. The Prodigy team put the Renegades through a rigorous 2-hour clinic which was designed by the Renegades coaches and the Prodigy team with specific individual skill development and team concepts in mind. The players left the sessions with a better under-standing of the game and each player improved on one or more skills thanks to the individual attention they received.
Tim, Nick, Adam and Jack commented that they were impressed with the talent level, cooperation and intensity the Renegades exhibited for the duration of the session. The Prodigy team is looking forward to their next session with the Renegades.
