New Therapies For Acute Stroke

Jonathan L. Brisman, M.D.
A discussion of New Therapies For Acute Stroke will be the featured presentation at the monthly meeting of the free Stroke Support Group at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, February 5th, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Information on advanced cutting-edge treatments will be provided by Jonathan L. Brisman, M.D., a Mercy neurosurgeon who specializes in cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Brisman, who practices at Neurological Surgery, P.C. in Rockville Centre, is among fewer than 100 neurosurgeons across the country trained in both microneurosurgery and endovascular techniques and among the first dual-trained endovascular surgeons on Long Island.

As a state-designated Stroke Center, Mercy Medical Center offers unique expertise in the treatment and post-hospital care of stroke patients. Stroke survivors, their families and caregivers are invited to attend the free Stroke Support Group which meets the first Tuesday of each month from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in the St. Anne's Center on the hospital campus.
