Garden Department Program

The Casino held a full house as members and guests watched the Flower Arranging Program

The Garden Cdepartment of the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead will offer their first program for 2008 on Tuesday, January 22 nd, at 1:30 p.m. in the Garden City Casino. The program titled "Begonias - You don't Know the Half of Them" will be presented by Margaret Carnival of Planting Fields Arboretum. if you only know the Waxed variety, you will be amazed at the whole assortment of Begonias with an array of shapes, sizes, and colors. You will learn how to grow them and propagate them and astonish your frienbds with "your Green Thumb".

Ms. Carnival will answer qeustions following the presentation and during the Tea Hour which will feature home baked goodies to warm your taste buds.
