Police Report: Mischief and Mayhem:

Between December 29 and January 2, someone took 3 HP laptops valued at $5400 at 1010 Franklin Avenue...On January 3, 2 PM, a 40-year-old Freeport man was arrested for having allegedly taken Hummer box sets valued at $45 each at Sears. Detective Barone and PO Walsh made the arrest in a nearby office stairwell...On January 4, 4 PM, a 40-year-old Mineola man was arrested at Old Country Road, at 4 PM, after PO Graber observed him misusing his cell phone without a hands free device. The motorist was charged with cell phone, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree ( 6 suspensions, 4 dates), and no brake light...On January 6, 6 PM, PO Buonaiuto arrested a motorist for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, ( 20 suspensions, 9 dates) and for unlicensed operation... Between January 4 and 5, a partition inside Commerce Bank, Franklin Avenue was found damaged...On January 5, unknown persons broke a window in a second floor office by evidently throwing a pipe. $200 damage... Between December 31 and January 2. a shattered window pane was found at 1001 Franklin Avenue. $100 damage... On January 3, someone in a car hit a parked 2002 Mazda into the rear of a 2006 Chevy, at Kilburn Road. The Mazda had $2,000 in damage while the other car had $500 in damage...
