Resident Joins Winthrop Surgical Associates

Alfred Adamo, MD

Winthrop Surgical Associates, PC, is proud to welcome Garden City resident Alfred Adamo, MD, to its team of surgical experts.

Dr. Adamo, a board-certified surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, has been in private practice in Garden City and an attending surgeon at Winthrop- University Hospital for over 25 years. An active educator, Dr. Adamo is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Stony Brook Hospital as well as an instructor of medical students and surgical house staff at Winthrop. As Director of the Surgical Outreach Program, Dr. Adamo brings his expertise in community prac-tice to the Winthrop Faculty practice; his major interest includes laparoscopic, head and neck and breast surgeries. He is an active member of Nassau Surgical Society, the Nassau Academy of Medicine and is also involved in the Coalition for Community Health sponsored by Aubrey Lewis. Dr. Adamo has been a resident of Garden City for 27 years.
