Claire Ferencik, nee Kirby, a former resident of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and St. Anselm's Parish, died on Dec. 8. She was 85 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Ferencik Sr., the devoted mother of Claire, Eugene, Jane, Ann (Graham), Constance (O'Brien) and Joseph, and the cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection was held on Dec. 12 at St. Anne's RC Church. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please support our military families with donations to UnMet Needs Program, VFW 406 West 34th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Arrangements were handled by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home in Floral Park.
