Town Supervisor Kate Murray (2nd left), Councilman Ed Ambrosino (2nd right), Town Clerk Mark Bonilla (right) and Reciever of Taxes Don Clavin (left) presented Police Sergeant William Grimes of the Garden City Police Department the 2008 Town of Hempstead Police Service Award. At the annual ceremony held recently, the Town recognized law enforcement professionals from the Nassau County Police Department and village police departments within the town. The recipents of the award are nominated by their departments for their meritorious duty to the community.
