Local Residents "Tag Up" For School
Garden City High School juniors Paige Logan (third from left) and Eleni Andromidas (fifth from left) are shown with students and staff of The De La Salle School in Freeport. Logan and Andromidas, after school tutors, organized a benefit tag sale which raised $1,700 for the school. In addition, they also collected and donated sports equipment. "This was a first for us," noted Brother Thomas P. Casey, FSC, Executive Director of the school (sixth from left). "Not only did Paige and Eleni organize a most successful tag sale, they shared the story about our students with the sale's patrons helping raise awareness about the work and mission of The De La Salle School."
The De La Salle School is a scholarship Catholic school in the Diocese of Rockville Centre that shares in the Lasallian heritage and exists to provide a quality education for young men in fifth through eighth grade from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Above, Eleni and Paige.
