The Inn: Mayre Heston, President of the Community Club, Stephen Robinson, Pat Dalton, Chairman of Community Service and Lesley Thomas. Early this fall Mary Heston, president of The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead, and Pat Dalton, chairman of Community Services, delivered contributions to charities which the club supports. First, toiletries were taken to the INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network), located in Hempstead. They were greeted by friendly staff who gave them an informal tour of the facility and explained that the Mary Brennan INN offers many services for the indigent family: food, clothing, toiletries and facilities for recipients to shower and perhaps prepare for a job interview.

The second visit was to Rotocare which provides extensive medical service at no charge to those who are not able to obtain any form of medical insurance. The ladies met with some of Rotacare staff comprised of doctors, nurses, pharmacist, and clerical personal - or volunteers. It was indeed a rewarding and enlightening afternoon.

The Community Club offers a variety of programs, classes in the fine arts and trips, September thru June.
