Local resident Lana Noone presented a Posthumous Heather Constance Noone Memorial Award, named for her deceased daughter), in Washington DC on November 11, 2008.

It was presented at the 15th Anniversary Ceremony of the Vietnam Civilian Womens Memorial where Mrs. Noone honored the casualties of the C-5A "Operation Babylift" C-5A plane crash of April 4, 1975.
