Chaminade Junior Varsity Football Team avenged their only loss of the season to Monsignor Farrell by defeating them on their home turf in Staten Island to claim the NY Metropolitan-CHSFL Championship. The win also snapped a 20 game home winning streak for Farrell.

Garden City is well represented among the Chaminade coaching squad led by Coach Mike Pienkos, Assistants, Bob Pomponio, Michael Dolce, James Atkinson and Jim O'Leary and players Kyle Johnson, Matt Clarkson, Sean Mahon, Shane Thornton, Ryan Fitzsimmons, Jeffrey Bolte and Joe Horan all of whom appear somewhere in the picture of the team celebrating the 26-0 victory over Farrell with the raised championship trophy.
