Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kasnicki of Garden City are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Megan Irene, to Nicholas Palamidessi. Nicholas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Palamidessi of Oceanside.

Megan is a 1998 graduate of Garden City High School. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Downstate Mediacal Center's College of Medicine in 2006. She will complete a residency in pediatrics at the New York University Medical Center in June 2009. Nicholas is a graduate of Oceanside High School, class of 1997. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Delaware in 2001 and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Downstate Medical Center's College of Medicine in 2005. He will complete a residency in emergency medicine at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn in June 2009.

The couple was married in St. Ladislaus Church in Hempstead on August 31, 2008. An elegant reception was held at the North Ritz Club in Syosset. A honeymoon in Athens and the Greek Islands followed. The couple now resides in Manhattan but will be house hunting on Long Island in the near future.
