Congratulations to Garden City High School senior, Juliana Ortego, pictured here with Principal Nanine Cuttitta, for being selected as a Scholar in the 2008-2009 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP). Of the 200,000 students who entered this year's program, just under 5,000 have been chosen for this recognition. Students who are honored as Scholars by the NHRP must be at least one-quarter Hispanic, have achieved a minimum PSAT/NMSQT/PAA score, as well as earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
