CPOA To DiscussSurvey Results
The results of a recent Central Property Owners Aassociation survey will be a topic of discussion at the group's next meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Garden City Senior Recreation Center on Golf Club Lane. The CPOA conducted a mail survey of its residents through Amplitude Research Inc. regarding the AvalonBay proposal for the development of St. Paul's. Specifically, residents were asked to respond "Yes" or "No" in support of the proposal. The survey results have been tabulated by Amplitude and they have been formally presented to Mayor Bee and the Board of Trustees. The results are as follows: Total number of surveys mailed to Central households: 1,434 Total number of surveys completed and received back to Amplitude: 572 / 40 percent Number / percent of respondents supporting the AvalonBay proposal for the development of St. Paul's: 168 / 29.4 percent Number / percent of respondents not supporting the AvalonBay proposal for the development of St. Paul's: 402 / 70.3 percent Number / percent of respondents stating no preference: 2 / .3 percent The survey results will be a major topic of discussion at their Tuesday meeting, although many other Village and Central section issues will also be considered.
