Mary Smith of Feldis Florists on Seventh Street here in town was the featured speaker/flower arranger for the Wednesday, November 19 th program sponsored by the Garden Department of The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead. She made five lovely arrangements for the holidays and five lucky ladies won them.

The Garden Department will also hold its annual Greens Day next week where they make sprays for the five veterans memorials and present them to our American Legion Post to place them on the memorials. They also make sprays for the 9/11 Memorial and the Fire Department Memorial as well as arrangements for the Village Hall, the Police and Fire Departments and the Recreation Department Three arrangements also go to both the Garden City and Hempstead Libraries.

Not a group to rest on its laurels, the Garden Department will also present a program by Mari Hill who provides the ever changing decorations by the Senior Center as well as those at the Garden City Pool. This will be presented on Tuesday, January 13 th at 1:30 p.m. at the Garden City Casino.
