ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5, there will be a concert performed by Amy Speace at Garden Stage at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 223 Stewart Ave., at 8 p.m. The Baltimore native spent much of her youth in Minnesota and rural Pennsylvania, and studied piano, clarinet and saxophone. The Waldorf Choral Society, under the direction of George V. POLICE REPORT: MISCHIEF AND MAYHEM

BETWEEN NOVEMBER 28 AND 29, someone broke a $400 window on the side of the GC High School building...THERE WERE SEVERAL larcenies from cars parked in the vicinity of Pell Terrace, Kenwood Road, Clinton Road and Wyatt Road between November 25 and 29. All cars were unlocked and the main items stolen included GPS systems, credit cards and loose change...TWO INDIVIDUALS FROM New Hyde Park, were issued appearance tickets for underage drinking on November 25 at the GC Pub, NHP Road...ALSO ON NOVEMBER 25, someone took credit cards from the NY Sports Clubs, Franklin Avenue, and used them later...ON NOVEMBER 26, a 23-year-old Freeport woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a Splendid sweater and a BCBG sweater, both valued at $296, at Lord and Taylor...BETWEEN NOVEMBER 29 and 30, a front driver's side window and a side mirror on a car were found damaged, at Jefferson Street...ON NOVEMBER 30, a GPS valued at over $400 was stolen from a locked car at Meadow Street... ALSO THAT DAY, PO Oswald arrested a 39-year-old Hempstead man for alleged DWI (.21%), aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, no license, no insurance, and the failure to signal a lane change, at Clinton Road. The motorist was also charged with not wearing a seatbelt...ON NOVEMBER 25, a rear front window on a Toyota was found damaged at Field 10. $150...ON NOVEMBER 26, Detective Madden and an assisting officer arrested a 21-year-old GC male for the alleged possession of cocaine at Field 7 N. The GC male allegedly assaulted the assisting officer, which required the officer to receive stitches in the head. There was an additional charge for assault second degree...

The FD shut off gas and electric at a Laurel St. house on November 27...Smoke from a toaster oven caused an alarm at a Brixton Rd. house on November 29. The electric was disconnected...An alarm malfunctioned at Roslyn Savings on November 30...Natural ventilation cleared an odor of paint that may have activated alarms at a Brixton Rd. residence on November 30...On December 2, firemen cleaned the roads at Franklin Avenue/ Old Country Rd. after a 4-car accident occurred there. One car hit a building at the northeast corner causing damage to that building...
