As the League of Women Voters is celebrating the 218 th anniversary of the signing of the Bill of Rights, we are reminded that our active participation in government matters.

The League has conducted voter registration drives on most of our Nassau Campuses: Hofstra University, the CW Post Campus, SUNY at Old Westbury, New York Institute of Technology, Adelphi University, as well as in churches, stores, high schools and social agencies. The number of new registrants ran well over 2,500. We indeed made a difference in this last presidential election.
