Miss Adelmann is majoring in Archaeology at Boston University. She is a resident of Garden City She join the study group this summer which was run by the Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies. The dig is located in a small town on the eastern coast of Crete called Istron. The site itself is called Priniatikos Pyrgos. It is believed to be a harbor settlement in the area which was occupied from the Neolithic to the Venetian/Ottoman period. Priniatikos Pyrgos was chosen as a spot where a large range of time periods could be found in the stratigraphy which will be helpful to better understand the progress of the area.

The Community is invited to attend the forum in the church parlor. Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ, is an Open and Affirming and Welcoming congregation.
