News From The Children's Room Holiday Crafts
Children ages 21/2-5 (and an adult) will make a Winter Holiday Hat with Liane on Saturday, December 6th at either 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. Registration began Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in the Children's Room. Check for availability.
Create an edible masterpiece based upon the beloved board game, with Rona Madri. On Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 p.m. for children in Grades K-2, and at 2:30 p.m. for children in Grades 3-5. Registration began Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00a.m. in the Children's Room. Check for availability.
On Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00a.m., the library is proud to present Strummin' and Drummin' with Matt, a show for the whole family. Tickets will be available beginning December 20th at 9:00a.m.
It's gift-giving time! Are you trying to think of thoughtful, original, inexpensive gifts this December? The Children's Department has a large craft section, full of things for parents and children to make together. Kathy Ross, author of many crafting titles, has Christmas Presents Kids Can Make, Christmas Ornaments Kids Can Make, and Christmas Crafts Kids Can Make. Other titles include Great Gifts, Gifts to Make and Eat, Paper Tags and Crafts and Gifts Kids Can Make. The Library also have many more books on holiday crafts, cards, gift wrap, and other things you can make. Spend time making gifts with your children this holiday season! They'll be so proud to give gifts that they made themselves.

Priority for registration and participation is given to children who are Garden City Public Library cardholders.
