BETWEEN NOVEMBER 3 and 20, burglars evidently attempted to enter a vacant residence on Meadow Street; a rear window was found partially open there...A 2005 NISSAN Pathfinder was stolen from Main Street, between November 8 and 17... ON NOVEMBER 24, 5:30 a.m. , someone took $85 in newspapers from a Seventh Street store after delivery...PO BANDL observed a 73-year-old male driver making an alleged illegal U-turn at Franklin Avenue/Second Street on November 23 at 8 p.m. and the driver was arrested for alleged DWAI (.06%), an illegal U- turn, no signal, and no insurance... BETWEEN NOVEMBER 21 and 22, $2 was stolen from a parked car at Meadow Street...PO MARCEDA arrested a 30-year-old Garden City Park female for grand larceny at Lord and Taylor, which included the theft of Seven jeans, a DKNY top, a tank top, an Eileen Fischer sweater, a Lauren sweater and gloves, a red Swiss hat, and scarf, as well as a cashmere sweater, all valued at over $1100...A SCHWINN bike valued at $125 was stolen from a shed at Pine Street between November 19 and 20...PO CRISTIANO ARRESTED a 27-year-old West Hempstead woman for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree ( 6 suspensions, 6 dates) and equipment violations at Clinton Rd. on November 19 at 9 a.m....DETECTIVES MADDEN and Rothermel, arrested a 21-year-old Brooklyn female after an investigation of identity theft. It seems the woman had purchased Delta airlines tickets valued at over $3,000 by using the identification of another person. She was charged with identity theft and with grand larceny...A 30-YEAR-OLD Long Beach man was arrested for aggravated harassment of a former girlfriend where she worked at a GC office. PO Walsh and Detective Pedone had done the detective work...

FIRE RESPONSES:

FD CONTAINED a small fire of papers in the road at Kenwood Road on November 20... A BRUSH FIRE was contained at Rockaway Avenue on November 21...A SAMSUNG FLAT screen TV emitted smoke in the bar area of Leo's, Seventh Street, on November 21, and it was removed...WIRES CAME DOWN at Roosevelt Street on November 22... A DRYER FIRE set off an alarm in a basement laundry room at the GC Hotel on the same day, and an employee was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation...ON NOVEMBER 25, FD assisted a flatbed truck driver with the removal of a "No Parking" sign from beneath the truck...
