Panthers Finish Fall Season
The Garden City U10 Panthers finished up the fall season with an 8-2 record. The team really started playing great ball toward the end of the season. Veterans Kyle Quinn, TJ Michielini, and Joe Philippas continued their great all around play. Tony Loiodici was on the IR for the second half of the season but played great defense in both the outfield and infield. Liam McAndrews led the offense with clutch power hitting. Peter Finnican is quickly learning the game and has started realizing his all-star potential. Ian Driscoll and Bobby McLoughlin shared most of the catching duties, always playing hard and contributing. Mike DeSanti contributed with stellar pitching and hard hitting. Andrew Wood's speed and defense often sparked the team to success. Jake Murray pitched outstanding and worked a bulk of the innings. Christian Coppola chipped in with consistent hitting and fielding. The team should improve even more when Sean Coughlin-Roberti plays in the spring after being out on the IR the entire fall season. The team is up for the challenge of tougher competition in the spring and summer.
