The Cathedral Choirs In Concert
On Sunday, November 23rd at 4:00 p.m. the combined Cathedral Choirs will present an afternoon of English choral music of the twentieth century. Featured will be masterpieces by two of the centuries most eminent composers, The Twelve by William Walton and the Missa Brevis in D by Benjamin Britten. Also included will be favorite anthems by Charles Parry, Edward Bairstow, Herbert Howells and Charles Wood, all concluding with I was glad by Charles Parry, sung in celebration of the completion of the Cathedral spire restoration. Joining the Cathedral choirs will be several friends that the boys from the Cathedral Men and Boys Choir made at the Montreal Boys Choir Course this past summer. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door and are $15 general seating, $5 for high school and college students and children under 13 are admitted free. Come and join us for this afternoon of spectacular choral music.
