Since Christmas is a season of new life and hope, Gloria and Tim will donate a portion of all proceeds to Momma's House in Wantagh and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
The afternoon will begin with an elegant and festive banquet. During brunch, the "Christi-Brown Carolers" acapella quartet will entertain with lush harmonies of Christmas favorites. Gloria and Tim will then get you into the Christmas Spirit as they perform holiday classics from their CD, "Christmas From My Heart" as well as other favorites. They'll sing heartwarming love songs by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, George Gershwin and more--a little sampling of songs from their upcoming concert, "Love Changes Everything." Once you're warmed up and well fed, get ready for some fun audience participation and other surprises.
Both Gloria and Tim have had colorful music careers. A native Long Islander, Gloria began her professional singing career at age four when she was a regular personality on Ray Heatherton's "Merry Mailman" TV show. She has appeared on numerous cable TV programs, the Joe Franklin show and regional theatrical productions of "Anything Goes," "Oklahoma," "Girl Crazy," "Camelot" as well as off-Broadway productions.
A recording artist and lyricist, she sang with the famed Liberace at Radio City Music Hall. At the personal invitation of Mayor Rudy Giuliani she sang at the service memorializing victims of the ill-fated American Airlines Flight 587 in the Rockaways.
Tim, also a native Long Islander, has been musician/choir director since the age of 13! While attending parochial elementary school, he was asked to play the organ for his own Confirmation and graduation ceremonies! He has starred in regional theatre versions of "Gypsy," "Mousetrap" and "South Pacific" as well as in off-Broadway productions. He has been cast in commercials and as an extra on "Saturday Night Live."
More recently he has held a concert at the Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington. And he has sponsored the famous Christian Artist, John Michael Talbot at the Chaminade Theatre and also formed and directed the choir that sang with him during the concert.
Gloria and Tim have two beautiful children: Christopher and Gabriella who are following in their parents' musical footsteps.
