Beginning their gala 80th anniversary season, The Long Island Choral Society will perform, with orchestra, "Ein Deutsches Requiem" by Johannes Brahms on Sunday, November 16th. The concert will take place at 4 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, located at 50 Cathedral Avenue in Garden City.

In 1979, Meredith Elaine Baker became the society's fourth conductor of this all-volunteer choir of more than 60 singers, both amateur and professional, who come from more than 40 communities in the metropolitan area.

Individual concert advance ticket sales, as well as season subscriptions, are available through their website, www.LICS.org or by calling (516) 594-2926. Tickets are also available at the door the day of the performance.
